We are writing to let you know about an opportunity to share what you think about high school graduation requirements. Register here to join community members in our region for a Zoom community conversation for the South Coast region on March 16, 5:30-7:30pm.
In 2021, the state legislature directed the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to review state high school graduation requirements. As part of that work, ODE wants to know what matters most to people about earning a high school diploma in our state. Oregon’s Kitchen Table (https://www.oregonskitchentable.org/), a program of Portland State University, is working with ODE to gather input from people across the state about this topic.
Oregon’s Kitchen Table will be holding an online (Zoom) community conversation for community members in our region on March 16, 5:30-7:30pm. Register here to participate - https://pdx.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZctfuuprT4jGtxRqxzrwJfpH8Lir7gyarkM.
It is important for policymakers to hear about your and your family’s experience in school. What you share will help ODE make recommendations about high school graduation requirements.
Please contact Oregon’s Kitchen Table directly (info@oregonskitchentable.org) if you would like interpretation for the Zoom session.
