NORTH BEND SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

NBSD

JUL 20, 2023

The North Bend School District is pleased to announce Tim Crider as Assistant Superintendent.  Tim brings 23 years of education experience to the position.  With multiple masters degrees and an Ed.S. in school district leadership, Tim is well versed in all aspects of instructional leadership and will be a great asset to the district in this role.

Tim began his time in North Bend as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Hillcrest Elementary.  He then served as the district’s K-12 Instructional Coach, helping to improve district instructional practices, classroom management, and student achievement.  Following this he was the Assistant Principal at North Bay Elementary School and the district’s Federal Programs Coordinator.  In that role Tim oversaw homeless education, the English Language Learner program, district attendance advocates, Indian Education, and the Talented and Gifted Education program.  During the covid pandemic Tim was promoted to Principal of Hillcrest Elementary, where he helped lead the transition of students back to in-person instruction while paying particular attention to student learning loss and the increased social and emotional learning needs of students.

In 2021, Tim was promoted to Director of Business Services where he has managed the district’s $60+ million dollar programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal budget laws and regulations while maintaining a constant focus on serving the needs of students and staff.  While serving in this capacity, the district had an opening for the Human Resources Director which Tim quickly saw as an opportunity for the district to save money by adding those duties to his workload.  While the title of Assistant Superintendent is new to the district, this cost neutral addition will ensure North Bend schools will continue on the path to success.  Please join us in congratulating Tim Crider in his new role.
